oh yea, school

Carl and I were at Office Depot yesterday for duh, office supplies. I thought of that part in You've Got Mail where Joe Fox says:

"Don't you love New York in the fall?
It makes me want to buy school supplies.
I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened
pencils if I knew your name and address."

I'll gladly send you readers my address. While looking at the supplies I reflected on how every Fall of college I looked forward to my new planner. Ahhhh...color coding my classes so I knew what was due in what class, SGA events, birthdays and whatever exciting break was coming up for school. Then I looked forward to #2 pencils and a fresh new college ruled 5 subject notebook. (5-star of course.) I miss it. I may just buy a notebook and carry it around with me for all those notes I need to take now that I'm graduated. Dang it. That would be stupid. I'll guess I'll just to go back to school then.

what is it about school/office supplies? they make me so happy. you can still buy stuff without going back to school. you still need a calendar and stuff to write with! and you don't really need an excuse to buy anything else. if you want a pencil bag, get one! :)

It always reminds me of elementary school. If I let it remind me of college, I get sad. I'm not old enough to be done yet!!! At least I feel that way on the inside.

Okay, two things...
1. That is my favorite quote from the movie, and Josh, knowing this, gave me a bouquet of sharpened pencils for my 1st school yr. teaching at Bethany...I know, it was just as great as it seems!
2. I'm so into owls right now... I have book-ends for Gavin's room and a wall decor thing I need to put up in there as well, so all to say: I love your new header for your blog!!
Oh yeah, one last thing....I'm feeling the urge to go thrifting before school starts back-where will I put the stuff, I don't know but I must indulge my obsession!!
